Ironing Guide for Perler Beads
How to Create Perfect Perler & Hama Bead Projects
A quick-start tutorial for Perler Bead Patterns, Fuse Bead Patterns and Hama Bead Patterns. Learn how to use printable Grid Templates, follow Bead Color Charts, and iron safely for both Easy Patterns for Kids and advanced 3D Perler Bead Projects.
- Prepare your pattern and beads. Print a Printable Perler Bead Pattern or generate one using the Bead Pattern Generator. Gather all bead colors listed in the Bead Color Chart.
- Place beads on the pegboard. Follow the pixel grid carefully. This method works for kawaii designs, retro 8-bit video game art, Pokémon characters and more.
- Cover with ironing paper. Place ironing paper or baking parchment gently over your design to protect the beads and the iron.
- Iron slowly and evenly. Use medium heat and move the iron in small circles until beads start to melt together. Let everything cool before removing from the board.
